5 Oaks started in 1989 with the mission to “keep gardening affordable for everyone.” That mission still stands today. 5 Oaks has grown from our humble beginnings of one small greenhouse to 8 greenhouses over 2 acres of nursery stock and a full service garden center. We feel that by producing our own plants, we can provide high quality and a competitive price. 5 Oaks grows a large selection of perennials annuals and trees/shrubs for the Midwest.
5 Oaks has southeast Indiana’s largest selection of bulk vegetable seed, with more than 200 options to choose from. 5 Oaks also has its own brand of whole wheat flour “Billie’s in The Hood” brand. The wheat is grown, cleaned and milled in small batches to insure it is always fresh on our farm in the hills just outside Oldenburg, Indiana.
